Overview of HIP

One of the key priorities identified for the company was to strengthen the Performance Management process. With this intent, in 2016, we launched the High Impact Performance (HIP) Management philosophy and process.

The KEY ENHANCEMENTS introduced in the HIP were:

  • Define and implement consistent minimum standards to create a ‘ONE’ Arvind employee experience:
  • Engage and energize employees by strengthening focus on employee development
  • Redefine performance as not only ‘results’ (what) but also ‘behaviours’ (how)
  • Develop & deploy an objective process to manage consistent ‘underperformance’
  • Enhance user experience through automation (PACE)
  • Invest in manager capability building to deliver on the process

The HIP encompassed Goal setting & Development Planning at year beginning, Periodic Checkin during the year and Annual assessment at year end. In addition, manager capability modules was also introduced to improve the effectiveness of reporting managers.
